WCA Board Minutes, Oct.
11, 2007
Reduced rates for organizations?
This could
be done at a mini-conference, not at a large conference. Plans are made for 30% profit. At the Mental Health Conference held at the
Woodmark in June 2007, the hotel was free but the cost was in the food.
Emphasis
must be placed on the legitimacy of belonging to a national organization.

WCDA
Issues contributing
to WCDA discontent
1. Members were told that if they did not have a
Masters, they could not be a
full member, only
an associate member which carries a non-voting status.
2. This information appeared on the WCA website,
but was removed
3. Mary told Suzy (WCDA President) that she
would get back to her last January,
but contact did
not take place.
4. Suzy Mygatt-Wakefield resigned because WCDA
was taking up too much of
her energy over
many years.
5. The WCDA Board resigned, not because of
president’s resignation, but
because they did
not get support from membership.
