Membership Benefits

WCA holds an annual fall counseling conference which features opportunities to inrease competencies by participating in workshops, seminars, and round table discussions with peers and nationally recognized experts in the field. Additionally, the divisions of WCA offer various focused workshop and training opportunities throughout the year. Members of WCA get to participate at reduced rates, and free CEUs and/or clock hours are available to members of WCA

The following membership benefits are available to members of WCA, depending on membership category.

Types of Membership

WCA currently offers membership in the following categories:

Professional. Appropriate certification or licensure, eligible for such certification, or licensure based on training and education.

Associate. Not otherwise designated.

Retired. Over the age of 50, no longer employed, and met qualifications for professional membership prior to retirement. Reduced cost.

Student. Bonafide full-time student (professor's signature required) in counseling-related professional course at accredited college or university. Continuous membership assures eligibility for post-graduate extension of up to two years. Discount applies only to membership investment.

Life. WCA Past President and continuous membership since service.

Organizational. Membership in WCA only, without voting or office-holding rights. Investment is twice the regular amount, but may send up to 3 persons to one annual conference of choice at the reduced member rate.

Additional divisions. If you are a member of WCA and a division (does not apply to Organizational members), you may join additional divisions at reduced cost.
